Lucy qualified as a solicitor at Dawson Cornwell before spending 20 years as a university law lecturer. She completed a PhD at the University of Warwick in 2025, investigating gender discrimination in financial remedies law. She is currently an ESRC Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Exeter.
