His Honour Judge Edward Hess is a Circuit Judge, Lead Judge of the London Financial Remedies Court, Deputy High Court Judge and Deputy National Lead Judge, Financial Remedies Court and Co-Chair of the Pension Advisory Group.
Nicholas Allen KC, 29 Bedford Row
Barrister and Joint Head of Chambers at 29 Bedford Row (London). Door Tenant at St. Ives (Birmingham). IFLA arbitrator and PFDR/ENE tribunal. Appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2018, a Deputy High Court Judge in 2021, and a Recorder of the Family Court in 2016. Bencher of the Middle Temple. Contributing Editor to The Family Court Practice and editor of the family law chapters of Foskett on Compromise. Regular lecturer including to the Judicial College. Chair of the UK Association of LGBTQ+ Judges.
Michael Allum, International Family Law Group
Michael Allum is a Solicitor and Partner at The International Family Law Group LLP. He specialises in finance cases with a particular emphasis on matters with an international element. He is also regularly instructed on cases regarding financial provision after an overseas divorce (Part III). He is a member of the Financial Remedies Journal editorial board and of the Duxbury Working Party.
Lily Mottahedan, 1 Hare Court
Lily Mottahedan is a barrister at 1 Hare Court specialising primarily in the financial aspects of family law. Named Family Law Junior Barrister of the Year in the 2023 Chambers and Partners UK Bar Awards (having been shortlisted once before in 2019) and Highly commended in the category of International Family Lawyer of the Year in the 2023 LexisNexis awards following her success in a landmark jurisdiction and forum non conveniens case, she is commended for her powerful written and oral advocacy, outstanding client-care, meticulousness and in-depth knowledge of the law.
